Lovely house, very homely, well equipped, warm and cosy and in warm weather nice and airy with the windows open – not stuffy at all. The owner is very helpful and lovely to deal with, the housekeeper was also lovely (we arrived a little early and she made us tea in the garden). I don’t recommend arriving early though as even though she was very lovely and accommodating, she was still very busy cleaning the huge house ???? The description makes you think it is a little cottage when in fact is is a large house with plenty of space for the larger families. Plenty of room. Great eating area for the family and plenty of space and equipment to cook with. The garden is a sun trap and very peaceful. The main village is less than 2 minutes walk and all the shops and pubs are just on the doorstep. The walks in the area are beautiful and the owner has provided lots of books to help you find the best walks for you. This was our second stay and will be returning again ????
