As Puddleduck House is a dog-friendly Lake District Holiday Home you can bring your pooch with you on holiday and enjoy Coniston with your four-legged family member!  The walks from the house are simply superb, so it would be a shame for them to miss out – a stunning walk to Torver along the Lakeshore, a brisk walk up to Tarn Hows – or even, if you’re very adventurous, why not all trek up Coniston Old Man?

In the House

We allow up to 2 well-behaved doggies in Puddleduck House – we have all wooden flooring downstairs and a tiled kitchen floor, so it’s perfect for the patter of paws!

Outside

As dog-friendly Lake District holiday locations go, Coniston must rank the highest for the number of pubs and restaurants that accept tired doggies who need to rest up their sore pads and paws. This does mean of course that your dogs are very likely to make new friends on their holidays! All pubs at the time of writing are dog-friendly inside and out. Explore some of them here
